Day 01: Arrival in Kochi – Gateway to Kerala’s Backwaters
Upon arrival in Kochi, you'll be greeted by a representative from Offbeat India Tours and transferred to your accommodation at the Holiday Inn or Courtyard by Marriott. In the afternoon, begin your exploration of Kochi, a vibrant city where diverse cultures and traditions blend seamlessly. Start with a visit to St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars. This historic site was also where Vasco Da Gama, the famed explorer, was buried for 14 years before his remains were moved to Lisbon, though his tombstone still remains here.Next, head to the Mattancherry Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), an architectural marvel adorned with murals. Then, see the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets along the harbour mouth, offering picturesque views of Kochi’s waterfront. Continue with a stroll through Jew Town, home to the Jewish Synagogue (closed Fridays and Saturdays), built in 1568 and the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth. Day 02: Kochi to Munnar – Journey to the Hills (135 km / Approx. 4 hr)

Day 03: Exploring Munnar’s Natural Wonders
Following breakfast, set out to discover the natural splendors of Munnar. Begin with visits to Sita Devi Lake, Mattupetty Dam, and Kundala Lake, all celebrated for their tranquil beauty. Then, venture to Eravikulam National Park, a unique high-elevation grassland and shola forest ecosystem. Here, spot the rare Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered species of wild goat. You’ll also see Anamudi, the tallest peak in South India, and perhaps glimpse the rare Neelakurinji flower, which blooms only once every 12 years. Return to your hotel for a restful evening in Munnar.

Day 04: Munnar to Thekkady – Wildlife Adventures (110 km / Approx. 3.5 hr)
After breakfast, depart Munnar and journey to Thekkady, home to the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread across 780 sq. km and surrounding an artificial lake, this sanctuary is rich in biodiversity. In the afternoon, join a guided trek through the forest with a knowledgeable naturalist. Day 05: Thekkady to Alleppey – A Serene Backwater Cruise (150 km / Approx. 4 hr)
After breakfast, check out from Thekkady and drive to Alleppey, known as the Venice of the East.
