Day 1: Transfer to Rinchenpong/Chhayatal
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Rinchenpong or Chhayatal, a serene village perched at an altitude of about 5,500 ft. Rinchenpong is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Visit the 18th-century Rishum Monastery, where history meets spirituality. Take in the picturesque landscapes, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the stunning views of the Kanchenjunga range, as Rinchenpong is one of the closest villages to this majestic mountain. You will also visit the beautiful Chhayatal Lake, adding to the charm of the day.
Day 2: Explore Kaluk and Surroundings
After a hearty breakfast, proceed to Kaluk, a windy and picturesque location just 3 kilometers from Rinchenpong. Explore its scenic beauty with short hikes, and visit the historic Pemayangtse Monastery, a gem of Sikkimese architecture and spirituality. Discover the ruins of Rabdentse, the ancient capital of Sikkim, which offers a glimpse into the region's rich history. The day is a blend of adventure and cultural exploration.
Day 3: Visit Sadam and Temi Tea Garden
Today, travel to the village of Sadam, home to the geological marvel Tarey Bhir. This 10,000-ft-long ridge with dramatic steep drops offers mesmerizing views of lush green valleys and towering mountains. Later, visit the renowned Temi Tea Garden, the only tea estate in Sikkim and an organic marvel. Stroll through the verdant tea plantations and soak in the serene ambiance.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Sikkim as you depart for your onward journey.
