Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi
Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, where Offbeat India Tours representative will meet you at the exit gate. You will then be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax after your journey.
Delhi, a bustling metropolis, seamlessly blends its ancient heritage with modern advancements. Its strategic location has made it a significant center of power for various dynasties over centuries. The city is believed to have been the mythological Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, dating back to 5000 BC. Over time, rulers such as Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, the Tughlaqs, Humayun, and Shah Jahan left their mark on Delhi through grand monuments, including the historic walled city of Shahjahanabad. In the early 20th century, Sir Edwin Lutyens designed much of New Delhi, creating a magnificent central administrative zone that symbolized British rule. The contrast between Old Delhi and New Delhi highlights the city’s diverse cultural and historical legacy.

Day 2: Exploring Delhi
Today, embark on a guided tour of Old Delhi, starting with the 17th-century walled city of Shahjahanabad. Visit Jama Masjid, the grand mosque built in 1656 AD by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, which remains the largest and most well-known mosque in India. Next, take a brief photo stop at the majestic Red Fort, an iconic landmark of Mughal architecture.
In New Delhi, drive past India Gate, a war memorial built in 1931 to honor Indian soldiers who died in World War I and the Afghan Wars. The names of these fallen soldiers are inscribed on its walls. You will also pass by Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House), originally known as Viceroy’s House, which served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India until 1950. Visit Qutub Minar, a 72-meter-high minaret built in 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek, representing Indo-Islamic architecture. This UNESCO World Heritage Site stands as a significant historical landmark.

Day 3: Delhi to Jaipur (5-6 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, drive towards Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City. The vibrant capital of Rajasthan is known for its rich heritage, tales of bravery, and stunning architecture. Founded in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur is the only city in the world designed to symbolize the nine divisions of the universe through its nine rectangular sectors. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore Jaipur’s local markets, famous for marble artifacts, leather goods, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

Day 4: Exploring Jaipur
Begin your day with an excursion to Amber Fort, a stunning palace complex built under Raja Man Singh’s reign. Enjoy a jeep ride to reach the fort, which sits atop a hill and offers breathtaking views.
Later, visit City Palace, an architectural marvel that seamlessly blends Rajasthani and Mughal styles. The central structure, Chandra Mahal, provides panoramic views of the city. Next, head to Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory that houses instruments capable of precise celestial measurements even today. Finally, admire the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-story structure built in 1799 with 593 intricately carved windows designed for royal women to observe street activities without being seen.

Day 5: Jaipur - Jhalana Safari - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (4 Hours Drive)
Start your morning with an exciting wildlife safari in Jhalana, located on the outskirts of Jaipur. This reserve is home to elusive leopards, Sambar deer, spotted deer, Blue Bull, and a variety of reptiles. The safari also includes a visit to Shikaar Audi, a historic three-story hunting lodge offering panoramic views of sunrise and sunset. After returning to the hotel and checking out, drive towards Agra, en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar in red sandstone. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to magnificent structures like Diwan-e-Khas, known for its intricately carved central pillar, Panch Mahal, a five-story palace likely used by royal women, and the Tomb of Salim Chisti, a white marble masterpiece enclosed in delicate lattice screens. The imposing Buland Darwaza, standing 54 meters high, marks the grand entrance to this historic city. Upon arrival in Agra, check into your hotel. The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to explore local markets and take a relaxing walk.

Day 6: Agra – Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Tour
Begin your day with an early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Witness this architectural marvel at sunrise, as the changing hues of light enhance its beauty. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is a stunning fusion of Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles. After breakfast, proceed to Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone fortress built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD. Inside, explore the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience), Jahangir Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and Musamman Burj, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Taj Mahal. Later in the afternoon, begin your journey back to New Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at New Delhi Airport to board your flight home. Note - Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday.
