Day 01: Arrive in Ahmedabad
Upon arrival at Ahmedabad airport, you'll meet our Offbeat representative and be transferred to the hotel. After settling in, we’ll visit the historic Gandhi Ashram on the peaceful banks of the Sabarmati River. Established by Mahatma Gandhi in 1915, this ashram was a key hub in India's struggle for independence. It was from here in 1930 that Gandhi began the Dandi March, protesting the British Salt Tax. We’ll explore Hridaya Kunj, Gandhi's simple living quarters, now a preserved national monument. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Ahmedabad to Poshina
After breakfast, we head to Poshina, where you’ll check into the hotel and freshen up. We’ll then explore Poshina’s vibrant village life and meet the Garasia tribe. Known for its artisans—arrow crafters, potters, and blacksmiths—Poshina also offers a colorful bazaar with tribal jewelry, daggers, and terra cotta horses. We’ll visit nearby Bhil and Garasia tribal hamlets to see their traditional attire and artistic ornaments. Overnight stay at the hotel in Poshina.

Day 03: Full Day in Poshina
Today, we’ll take a full-day excursion to Danta village to meet the Dungri Garasia tribes. These tribes, located in both Gujarat and Rajasthan, share cultural similarities with the Bhil tribe. Due to limited agricultural resources, their way of life reflects the challenges of sustainable farming and animal husbandry. In the evening, we’ll return to Poshina for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Poshina - Patan - Modhera - Dasada
We’ll depart for Dasada after breakfast, with stops at Patan and Modhera en route. In Patan, we’ll witness the art of Patola weaving, a traditional craft by the Salvi community, where silk and cotton threads are expertly woven into intricate patterns. We’ll then visit the Rani Ki Vav, a multi-storied stepwell adorned with carved images, a testament to ancient architectural beauty. Next, we’ll explore the Sun Temple in Modhera, a masterpiece built in 1026 AD, where the rising sun illuminates the deity within the temple’s sanctum. Afterward, we continue to Dasada, where we’ll check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Dasada
After breakfast, we’ll go on a jeep safari through the Little Rann of Kutch, home to the rare Indian Wild Ass. We may also see blackbucks, Indian wolves, foxes, desert cats, and migratory birds like flamingos and cranes. Following lunch, we’ll visit the Rabari and Bhairwad villages around Dasada, meeting communities known for their vibrant embroidery, silk weaving, and intricate craftsmanship. We’ll also visit the artisan workshops in Bajana and Ambala. Return to the hotel in Dasada for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Dasada to Bhuj
After breakfast, we travel to Bhuj, where we’ll check into the hotel and freshen up. We’ll then visit the Collector’s office to secure permits for the upcoming days to explore tribal villages in the area. In the evening, enjoy a visit to a nearby tribal market before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Bhuj - Banni Villages - Bhuj
After breakfast, we’ll take a full-day excursion to the Banni group of villages, including Hodka, Ludiya, and Dhordo. These villages are home to Jat, Harijan, Meghwal, and Mutwa communities, each known for unique embroidery styles, beadwork, and leather craftsmanship. The Banni area is especially famous for its intricate Kambira, Kharek, and Mutwa embroidery, often featuring mirror work. In the evening, we’ll return to Bhuj for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Bhuj
Today, we’ll visit Bhujodi, where artisans create traditional shawls and blankets from coarse sheep wool, continuing a centuries-old craft tradition. Later, we’ll explore Tundav village, home to 200 Rabari families, and Nirona village, known for its vibrant crafts, including Roghan painting, bell-making, and lacquer work on wood. Afterward, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 09: Bhuj - Dholavira - Wankaner
We’ll depart for Wankaner after breakfast, stopping en route to explore the ancient ruins of Dholavira, an archaeological site that reveals the rich history of the Harappan civilization. Upon arrival in Wankaner, we’ll check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Wankaner to Jambughoda
Today, we’ll visit the Lothal ruins, another important site from the Harappan era, before heading to Champaner. At Champaner, we’ll explore its historic fort, an ancient structure captured by the Muslim king Mohammed Begada in the 15th century. Continuing our journey, we’ll reach Jambughoda for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Jambughoda (Chhota Udaipur)
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a day trip to Chhota Udepur to visit Rathwa and Nayak tribal villages and experience a local market. We’ll also see Pithora paintings in local homes. Return to Jambughoda for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Jambughoda - Ahmedabad
After breakfast, we’ll head back to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival, we’ll check into the hotel, where you’ll have the evening free for leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 13: Ahmedabad - Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. This concludes your vibrant journey through Gujarat’s tribal and cultural heritage.
