Day 2 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3438 m, 6 hrs trek)

After breakfast, continue your trek by passing through the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with your first glimpse of Mt. Thamserku (6608 m). The trail then leads through alpine forests with cascading waterfalls and offers the chance to spot some of the park's 200 species of Himalayan birds and wildlife, such as Himalayan tahr and musk deer.Cross the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Khosi rivers before reaching Namche Bazaar, perched on a hilltop. Namche Bazaar is the hub of the Khumbu region, serving as a trade center and acclimatization stop for trekkers. This bustling town offers a variety of amenities, including lodges, hotels, bars, restaurants, bakeries, banks, ATMs, a hospital, and a Sherpa museum.

Day 3 : Trek to Pangboche (3990 m, 6 hrs trek)

Continue your ascent towards the high Himalayas with a slow climb uphill for magnificent views of the surrounding peaks and Namche Bazaar. The trail takes you through blooming rhododendron forests, turning the landscape into a Himalayan paradise, especially in spring.Reach Tengboche, a village known for its large monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. After a lunch break and possibly witnessing a monk's ritual ceremony, continue trekking through the village of Deboche, home to a Buddhist nunnery, before arriving at Pangboche. This small Sherpa village offers stunning views of the stars against the backdrop of snow-covered mountains.

Day 4 : Trek to Thukla (4620 m, 6 hrs trek)

On the fourth day, the trek takes you out of the lush forests and into the barren, rocky landscapes of the high Himalayas. The trail passes through Dingboche, the summer valley of the Khumbu region, before heading towards the high-altitude Sherpa villages of Somare and Pheriche. Stop for lunch in Pheriche, with the Himalayas towering above you.Continue hiking through rocky terrain to reach Thukla, a small village with tea houses and a magnificent viewpoint of Cholatse, Taboche, and Ama Dablam mountains.


Day 5 : Trek to Gorakshep (5140 m) and Hike to Everest Base Camp (5364 m)

This day marks the highlight of your trek as you make your way to Everest Base Camp. This is the longest and most challenging part of the journey, as you navigate the rocky trails and high altitude. After passing Lobuche, you'll trek along the Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep, the highest overnight camp on the trek.After a quick lunch and dropping off your gear, embark on the final stretch to Everest Base Camp. The trail is challenging, but the reward is worth it—standing at the base of the world’s highest mountain. During the expedition season, you'll see climbers' tents dotting the landscape. After spending some time at the base camp, return to Gorakshep for dinner.

Day 6 : Hike to Kalapatthar (5545 m) and descend to Pheriche

Wake up early for a short but steep hike to Kalapatthar, one of the most famous viewpoints in the Khumbu region. Witness the first rays of sunlight hitting the Khumbu range, including a panoramic view of Mt. Everest. Kalapatthar offers a better vantage point than Everest Base Camp, with a 360-degree view of the Himalayas and the Khumbu Glacier.After soaking in the views, descend to Gorakshep for breakfast, then continue your trek to Pheriche, passing by the Khumbu Glacier and towering peaks.

Day 7 : Descend to Namche Bazaar

The descent begins as you trek through rocky mountains and into the lush rhododendron forests. Stop for lunch at Tengboche, where you can revisit the monastery if you missed it earlier. Continue descending through several Sherpa villages before arriving back at Namche Bazaar. You'll have plenty of time to explore the town, enjoy a hot shower, and visit the Sherpa museum.

Day 8 : Descend to Lukla

On the final day of your trek, continue descending through the Sagarmatha National Park checkpoint to re-enter your permit. The trail leads through rhododendron forests and past Monjo, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Pass through Sherpa villages, farmlands, and waterfalls before arriving in Lukla.

Day 9 : Early morning flight to Kathmandu (40 minutes) and final departure
After an early breakfast, take a short flight back to Kathmandu. Bid farewell to the stunning Himalayas and remote villages as you descend into the Kathmandu Valley. A representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.Your Everest Base Camp trek concludes with unforgettable memories.
