Day 1: Diwali – Festival of Lights with an Indian Family

Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel, followed by a transfer to your host’s home where you will immerse yourself in the Diwali festivities. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted in traditional Indian style and offered some refreshments. Your host will share the story behind Diwali and explain its cultural and spiritual significance.

As the evening unfolds, you'll join in on various festive activities, such as decorating the house with earthen oil lamps (diyas) and candles. You'll also get to participate in creating a rangoli, a vibrant and colorful art form, alongside your host. Afterward, indulge in a variety of Indian sweets and prepare for the Diwali Lakshmi Puja, an essential ritual performed by an Indian priest to honor the goddess Lakshmi.

Following the puja, enjoy a delicious homemade Indian dinner with your host family, engaging in warm conversations and soaking in the festive spirit.
