Day 2: Pokhara to Ulleri, Nepal - Trekking Begins
Today, your trekking journey begins. You'll take a taxi from Pokhara (915m) to Nayapul (1050m), a drive of about 1.5 hours. From Nayapul, you will start trekking towards Ulleri (2000m), passing through Birethanti (1065m) and Tikhedhunga. This trek takes approximately 5.5 hours. Along the way, you’ll be treated to views of the towering peaks of the Himalayas in the distance. With your camera ready and essentials packed, you’ll be accompanied by your guide and local porters. Prepare for a strenuous uphill climb in the last hour as you reach Ulleri, where you'll stay overnight.
Day 3: Ulleri to Ghorepani, Nepal
After breakfast (not included), pack up and continue your trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2675m), which takes about 5-6 hours. The initial part of the trek is relatively easy as you walk downhill into the valley and cross the Burungdi Khola river, a picturesque mountain stream. Following this, brace yourself for a challenging uphill ascent to Ghorepani. The landscape will keep you inspired as you make your way through rhododendron forests. Overnight at a teahouse in Ghorepani.
Day 4: Ghorepani to Tadapani, Nepal via Poon Hill
Rise early for a rewarding hike to Poon Hill (3180m) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over a panorama of peaks, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, and the Annapurna range. Return to Ghorepani for breakfast (not included) before beginning your trek to Tadapani (2675m). The route takes you through dense forests of rhododendron, bamboo, and oak, with frequent sightings of waterfalls, wildlife, and vibrant local flora. Tadapani, a quaint village nestled in the forest, offers stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail, and other snow-capped peaks. Overnight at a teahouse in Tadapani.
Day 5: Tadapani to Chomrong, Nepal
Today’s trek from Tadapani (2675m) to Chomrong (2140m) takes about 4.5 hours. You will begin with a steep descent through rhododendron forests, eventually reaching the village of Gurjun, home to the Gurung community. The trail continues through lush greenery and traditional villages until you arrive in Chomrong, where you will stay overnight at a teahouse. Chomrong offers incredible views and a chance to immerse yourself in local culture.
Day 6: Chomrong to Bamboo, Nepal
Departing from Chomrong, you will descend a stone staircase and cross the Chomrong Khola River on a suspension bridge, followed by a climb out of the side valley. The trail leads through dense bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forests, passing small settlements such as Tilicho and Sinuwa (2350m). After a break at Sinuwa, the trail continues uphill through rhododendron forests to Kuldi (2520m), home to an ACAP visitor centre. As you descend a long, steep stone staircase, you will reach the deep bamboo and rhododendron forests, eventually arriving at Bamboo Lodge (2340m) for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Bamboo to Deurali, Nepal
From Bamboo, you will ascend through forests rich with bamboo, rhododendron, and oak trees. The first stop is Dovan (2630m), followed by a muddy trail that climbs high above the river. Continue trekking until you reach the Himalayan Hotel (2900m), and shortly thereafter, the trail steepens as it ascends to Hinko Cave (3160m), an overhanging rock offering some shelter. A further twenty-minute climb will bring you to Deurali (3230m), where you’ll spend the night.
Day 8: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp, Nepal
Today's trek leads from Deurali to the Annapurna Base Camp (4170m), taking about 4.5 hours. The trail climbs gradually past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3820m) as you enter the Annapurna Sanctuary, encircled by majestic peaks. A final two-hour trek will bring you to the Annapurna Base Camp, where you can enjoy spectacular, unobstructed mountain views.
Day 9: Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan, Nepal
Begin your descent from Annapurna Base Camp to the village of Dovan (2630m), a trek that takes about 5 hours. Cross the Chomrong Khola and ascend a stone staircase to Chomrong before descending steeply to Jhinu Danda. Day 11: Jhinu Danda to Pokhara, Nepal
On your final day of trekking, you'll descend from Jhinu Danda to Birethanti (1025m), passing through beautiful landscapes and small villages.
