Day 1: Dimapur to Kohima
Upon arrival at Dimapur Airport, your transport will take you to your hotel in Kohima. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in Kohima, where our team will meet you to discuss the plans for the upcoming days.
Day 2: Exploring Kohima
Begin your day with coffee at the famous Heritage Bungalow, followed by a short walk to the WWII Commonwealth Cemetery for a signature battlefield tour. Have lunch at a café in town, and for the adventurous, explore the exotic local market showcasing unique Naga delicacies. In the afternoon, visit the Kohima Cathedral or the State Museum. End your day with dinner hosted at a local home in Kohima.
Day 3: Khonoma Village and Surroundings
After breakfast, drive to Khonoma Village, where a local guide will take you on a guided tour of this historically rich and scenic area. Enjoy lunch at Dovipie Inn, followed by an optional walk to the terraced fields of the village. Post-lunch, visit the Mithun Sanctuary to spot the local bison, then proceed to Dzulekie for a relaxing picnic tea. Return to Kohima by evening.
Day 4: Trek to Dzukou Valley
Start your day with breakfast and prepare for the trek to Dzukou Valley, a mesmerizing grassland nestled at an altitude of approximately 2,450 meters. After a 40-minute drive to the trek's starting point, embark on your journey with a packed lunch. Set up camp upon arrival and explore the valley's stunning landscapes. Enjoy a simple dinner by the bonfire before settling in for the night. The next morning, take a sunrise walk through the valley, followed by breakfast at the camp. Return to the trek's start point, where transport with hot tea will await you.
Day 5: Departure
